A beautiful smile begins with healthy teeth. Dr. A. Reddy expertly restores decayed or broken teeth and replaces missing teeth to restore form and function to your smile.
Bridges are fixed structures that are not removable. A dental bridge is made up of two dental crowns at either side of the gap and is used to span the empty space created by the missing teeth. The bridge is secured at either end to the adjacent teeth to anchor the structure in place and provide support. These adjacent teeth are called abutments, and they are covered with a crown. The abutments are carefully prepared before the bridge is attached. The dentist will file down the abutments to accommodate the crowns.
A traditional dental bridge is made of two crowns at either end of the bridge and a false tooth in between. If there are no teeth to support the bridge, then the dentist will need to use dental implants to hold the bridge in place.
Full Or Partial Dentures
Dentures, more commonly referred to as false teeth, are substitutes for lost teeth and they can be removed and placed back into your mouth at will. Dentures do take some adjustment time until you feel comfortable and they will never feel like your original set of natural teeth. But, the good news is that today's achievements in dentistry mean your dentures will be very innate in appearance and extremely comfortable.
Two primary kinds of dentures are available: full and partial. Your dental professional will assist you in determining the right option that works for your particular situation; based on the number of teeth being replaced and the expense involved.
If you have a secure root system but the surface of the teeth is imperfect, crowns may be your best option. As our teeth wear down, dental crowns conceal the whole visible exterior of the teeth affected, adding might, sturdiness and stability to your bite. The dental professional makes an impression of the tooth for the dental lab so they can produce a well fitted crown. Normally you are fitted with a temporary crown as the dental laboratory makes the permanent addition.
When completed, the permanent crown will be cemented to your tooth, as a rule over the course of two appointments. Occasionally you may need some corrective work done to the tooth for stability before the new crown can be fitted. The completed crown process will usually endure for ten or perhaps fifteen years.
Porcelain Onlays or Porcelain Inlays
Dental inlays and on-lays are methods used to fix your back teeth when they are in a mild to medium degree of decay. Inlays and onlays are utilized to repair cracked or broken teeth provided that the breakage is not so serious as to necessitate the use of a porcelain crown.
Inlays and onlays are also produced in porcelain, resin composite and occasionally they are even made of gold. Since they are also able to create these using teeth coloured compounds, inlays and onlays quite often replace metal fillings in those patients that wish to renew their natural beaming smile. Inlays and onlays are a wonderful method of restoring your dental health, appearance and general well being.
Tooth Colored Fillings – These are made from a composite material and are used in place of the older silver amalgam fillings that are so controversial. Tooth coloured fillings are a popular choice for patients leaving them with a very natural smile.
